Introducing multi-item checkout on the Yoodlize app

The recent deployment in February 2024 of version 3.0 of the Yoodlize mobile app has a new feature that makes it easier for users to turn their homes into money-making personal rental shops. 

Yoodlize’s new multi-item checkout feature enables renters to book multiple items in a single checkout. Previously, if users were going camping and wanted to rent a tent, two sleeping bags, two camp chairs, a portable stove and lantern, they had to find which owners had those items available and then book those items on separate transactions.

Now users can choose all the items they want from a single owner, in the quantities they want, and pay for them in a single transaction. 

Multi-item checkout from a single owner’s “store” offers clear benefits for renters who can now add many items in one easy checkout. It also benefist owners who are more likely to receive increased rental income due to cross-rental opportunities and decreased checkout friction. 

“The lesson here is to post lots of stuff for rent,” said Natalie Fairbourne, Yoodlize co-founder and chief product officer. “When someone rents something for you, they’ll now see all your other listed items as potential add-ons during checkout. The more items you have listed, the more likely you are to earn money from rentals.”

There is no set-up required for Yoodlize owners with multiple listings; this feature is automatically applied to their accounts. Renters will be shown owners’ additional listings at checkout with the ability to add those items to their cart with a simple click.
