Sep 6, 2024
With fall just around the corner, let’s look back at some exciting news from the summer when our very own co-founder, Natalie Fairbourne, was honored with the Utah Business 2024 Executive Excellence Award. This recognition highlights Natalie’s inspiring leadership and her contributions to both Yoodlize and the broader business community.
Natalie has always been a pioneer in spaces where representation matters. Reflecting on her experiences as a woman in leadership, Natalie shared, “It’s not uncommon for me to be one of the only women in the room at [networking or business] events. I have to remind myself to take up more air than I’ve been conditioned to take." Her determination to stand tall in male-dominated spaces is not just a reflection of her personal resilience, but also an inspiration to others who are navigating similar challenges.
Her technical expertise has directly impacted Yoodlize, enhancing the app’s practicality and delivering a better user experience. In addition to her leadership role, her personal journey is an inspiring reminder for those who discover new skills later in life. “I went back to school to learn to code in my 40’s and realized I am pretty good at it! I’ve put out some useful features on the Yoodlize app that I am proud of. I wish someone had told little Natalie she was good at math, I wouldn’t have had to wait so long to figure out what I love."
For Natalie, success and happiness aren’t dependent on monetary gain—but by a broader impact. “Success and happiness are not the same thing. I'm always going to be happy no matter what. You choose to be happy. Success for me is when everyone across America knows Yoodlize and is using it. There’s no alternative to buying right now, we are trying to provide an alternative to consumption. Success will be when we are solving that problem.”
Natalie's recent recognition as a 2024 Executive Excellence honoree is a reflection of her leadership, innovation, and unwavering dedication to building Yoodlize into a world-class platform. We’re proud of her accomplishment and excited to see what’s in store for her and for the rest of Yoodlize in the years to come. Way to go Natalie!
